The price depends on the gate type, opening width, ground conditions and whether you want ANPR and gate management. A simple automatic swing gate can come to NOK 20,000–40,000 including installation, while larger sliding gates for commercial buildings are typically NOK 50,000–120,000 depending on size and accessories. Contact us for a non-binding quote based on a site survey.
Yes, in many cases we can add automation (motor and control unit) to an existing gate. We assess the condition and construction of the gate during the site survey and recommend whether it is worthwhile to automate it or whether it is better to replace the whole gate.
For most commercial buildings, a sliding gate is the best choice – it takes up little space and handles steady traffic well. Combine with ANPR for automatic opening for employees and suppliers. A barrier may be better where throughput is very high (car parks, goods reception).
Yes – and that is one of our strengths. We supply and install the gate itself, and connect it directly to an ANPR camera and our SolidEntry gate management platform. You get a complete, automated site from a single supplier.
A cantilever sliding gate is mounted on support posts and does not need a track in the ground. It is ideal where laying a track is difficult, where the terrain is uneven, or where there is heavy snow and ice. More robust than track-based solutions, but requires a little more space along the fence.
Yes – we supply vehicle gates throughout Norway. From our base in Eastern Norway we serve customers in the region with our own team, and through our partner network we deliver installation and service across the whole country.
All automated gates must be CE-marked in accordance with the Machinery Directive and gate standard EN 13241. This includes risk assessment, correct configuration of safety equipment (photocell pairs, pressure-sensitive edges, stop function) and preparation of technical documentation. We handle this as part of the delivery.

Gate types we supply
We supply all common vehicle gate types and help you choose the right solution based on space, security requirements, throughput and budget.
Sliding Gate
The most common gate type for commercial buildings and industry. Slides along the fence to the side and requires no swing clearance in front of the opening – ideal where space inside is limited. Available as tracked or cantilever models. Works excellently with ANPR as passage occurs in a controlled, single direction.
Best for
Commercial buildings, industrial plots, warehouses, housing cooperatives
Swing Gate
Classic gate type with one or two leaves that swing in or out. Simple, cost-effective mechanics with a low maintenance profile. Requires adequate swing clearance on the inside or outside of the opening. Well suited where aesthetics and calm traffic levels are priorities.
Best for
Holiday cabin communities, residents' associations, private properties, housing cooperatives with ample space
Folding Gate
Folding gates fold to the side when opened – ideal where there is neither room to slide along the fence nor to swing outward. Suitable for narrow openings or where obstructions sit close to the gate opening. Slightly more mechanics involved, but an excellent solution where other gate types do not fit.
Best for
Restricted openings, tight access routes, existing buildings with limited clearance
Boom Barrier
Barriers are a fast and cost-effective solution for traffic management at car parks, goods reception areas and high-throughput sites. Open and close rapidly, can be combined with ANPR for seamless automatic passage, and withstand a large number of cycles per day. Available in standard and security-rated variants.
Best for
Car parks, goods reception, high-throughput sites, commercial buildings
Sectional Door
Sectional doors open vertically, taking minimal space inside the building. The classic solution for warehouses, workshops and industrial buildings. Available in industrial sizes for heavy vehicles (lorries, forklifts) and with various insulation classes. Can be fitted with gate control and access management in the same way as vehicle gates.
Best for
Warehouses, workshops, industry, logistics buildings, garages
Combine your gate with ANPR and gate control
A gate alone stops vehicles. Combine it with intelligent gate management and ANPR (automatic number plate recognition), and you get a site that manages itself: registered vehicles pass without stopping, visitors are given temporary access via app or one-time code, and you have a full log of every passage in the cloud portal.
ANPR / number plate recognition
The camera reads the plate – the gate opens automatically for registered vehicles. No tag, no button, no stopping.
Gate control and SolidEntry
Cloud-based management of who has access and when. App, phone, tag and ANPR combined in one platform.
Video intercom
Visitors call through and you admit them directly from your mobile – without leaving the office.
Complete gate catalogue – from standard access to high security
Vehicle gates and barriers cover a wide spectrum of security levels – from simple chain barriers for car parks to IWA 14-1-certified vehicle arrest systems that stop a lorry at full speed. Here is an overview of all the product types we supply and project.
Standard vehicle gates and access control
These solutions handle everyday traffic management – controlled access for employees, residents and suppliers – with or without automation.
Sliding Gate
StandardE.g. CAME BX, Nice ROBUS, Faac 770
The most common gate type for commercial buildings, housing cooperatives and industry. The gate slides along the fence to the side and requires no swing clearance in front of the opening – ideal where space inside is limited. Available as tracked (with a ground rail) or cantilever (suspended, no rail) for paved surfaces and demanding terrain. Motorised sliding gates handle a high cycle frequency and are straightforward to combine with ANPR and access control. Standard models such as the CAME BX series handle gate leaves up to 400 kg, while industrial models handle considerably heavier constructions.
Swing Gate
StandardE.g. CAME ATS, CAME FERNI, Faac 402
One or two gate leaves that swing inward or outward from the opening. Swing gates have simple and robust mechanics with a low maintenance profile and are aesthetically attractive. They require adequate swing clearance – either in front of or behind the gate line. CAME offers a wide range from compact models for private properties to robust hydraulic motors for heavy, wide gates on commercial premises. A twin-leaf swing gate can cover openings up to 8–10 metres wide.
Folding Gate
StandardBi-fold and multi-fold variants
Folding gates solve the challenge where there is neither room to slide nor to swing. The gate leaf is divided into two or more segments that fold to the side on opening – halving or further reducing the space requirement compared with a swing gate. Well suited for narrow openings in dense urban environments, existing buildings with limited clearance, and locations where fast opening and closing is important.
Chain Barrier
StandardE.g. CAME CAT series
Chain barriers are a simple and cost-effective alternative to traditional vehicle gates for locations where full enclosure is not required. A motorised unit lowers and raises a chain or strap that blocks the access route. CAME's CAT series is a good example – compact, fast and easy to install without major groundwork. Chain barriers suit car parks, private roads, holiday cabin communities and outdoor storage areas where controlled access is desired without the cost and complexity of a full gate installation.
Boom Barrier
StandardE.g. CAME Gard, Faac B614, Nice SIGNO
Barriers are the most widely used solution for high-throughput sites – car parks, goods reception, petrol station forecourts and campsites. The barrier arm is a horizontal pole that raises and lowers quickly (typically 3–6 seconds) and handles an extremely high number of daily cycles. Almost always combined with ANPR, payment machines or access cards. The CAME Gard series is available in arm widths from 2.5 to 8 metres, covering everything from narrow entrances to wide industrial openings.
Sectional Door
StandardIndustrial and commercial door, vertical opening
Sectional doors open vertically along the ceiling and take up minimal space inside the building. They are the standard for industrial buildings, warehouses and workshops that require large vehicle openings. Available in a wide range of sizes – from a standard garage door to industrial doors over 8 metres wide for lorry and forklift access. Choose from various insulation classes (important for temperature-controlled storage), surface coatings and safety equipment. Can be fitted with a motorised opener and connected to access control and gate management systems.
High security – bollards, blockers and vehicle arrest systems
Where standard gates do not provide sufficient physical resistance against deliberate vehicle ramming, certified security barriers are required. These solutions are designed to protect buildings, crowds and critical infrastructure against hostile vehicle attacks.
High Security Bollards
High securityIWA 14-1 / PAS 68 certified | V7500 / K4 / K12 classes
High-security bollards are compact steel posts cast or anchored in the ground to stop high-speed, high-mass vehicles. They are tested and certified to international standards including IWA 14-1 (international) and PAS 68 (British origin, widely used globally) – and are rated with impact classes such as V7500 (7,500 kg at 50 km/h) or K4/K12 under the ASTM standard. Used in front of government buildings, embassies, railway stations, shopping centres, sports arenas and high-footfall locations. Available as fixed (permanent), retractable (manual or motorised) and automatic motorised versions – allowing authorised vehicles to pass in a controlled manner.
Traffic Management Bollards
Low–mediumRetractable and manual variants
Traffic management bollards are not primarily dimensioned to stop a vehicle at high speed, but to regulate and direct road traffic on pavements, squares and pedestrian zones. They create clear boundaries between vehicle areas and pedestrian zones, and are used in town centres, pedestrianised streets, shopping streets and schoolyards. Retractable variants can be lowered into the ground to allow deliveries and service vehicles at specific times, and raised again automatically or manually. Aesthetic design is important in urban spaces – available in stainless steel, cast iron and galvanised steel in various heights and diameters.
High Security Road Blockers
Very high – IWA 14-1 / PAS 68Rising wedge / surface mount | IWA 14-1 / PAS 68 | V7500 / K12
Road blockers are platform-based security barriers mounted flush in the road surface that rise rapidly to an angle that mechanically stops a vehicle. They provide very high impact resistance in certified classes and are suitable for sites where bollards are not feasible – such as wide entrances to critical infrastructure, data centres, energy facilities, government buildings and military installations. A hydraulic road blocker can rise from flat to blocking position in under 3 seconds. In the blocking position it stops a 7,500 kg vehicle at 50 km/h with zero penetration. Integrates with access control, ANPR and central management.
Traffic Management Road Blockers
StandardLighter variants for traffic regulation
Traffic management road blockers are functionally similar to high-security road blockers but are not dimensioned to stop a vehicle at high speed or mass. They regulate traffic, enforce direction of travel and control access to car parks, goods reception areas and campsites. A typical traffic management road blocker rises and lowers hydraulically or by electric motor, and can be driven over at low speed without damage. Often combined with payment machines, ANPR or access cards. A cost-effective solution for locations where platform-based management is preferred over a boom barrier.
Certifications and standards
Vehicle security barriers are tested and classified to international standards. Here are the key ones:
International standard (ISO/IWA) for vehicle arrest testing. Assigns classes such as V/7500 (7,500 kg vehicle) at various speeds. Most widely used globally for public and commercial installations.
British standard for hostile vehicle mitigation (HVM). Assigns class V7500 (7,500 kg at 64 km/h). Widely used in the Nordic region and Europe for public buildings and security-critical installations.
American standard. K4 = stops a 6,800 kg pick-up truck at 50 km/h. K12 = same vehicle at 80 km/h. Widely used by US government agencies, embassies and international organisations.
European standard for gates and barriers in general. Governs CE marking, risk assessment and safety configuration for motorised vehicle gates. Mandatory for all gates we install.
